Split System Air Conditioning

Split System Air Conditioning

Split Systems are extremely versatile and can be used for both cooling and heating in many different living and working situations.

Split systems comprise 2 main components – a smaller unit located inside the home with the larger condenser unit located outside. When the system is set to cool, the warm air from inside is taken by the fan unit, removing the excess heat and then circulating cooler air back into the room. If the unit provides heating as well, it essentially works in reverse, taking in the cooler air and replacing it with warm air back into the room.

Features of split systems include:

  1. Maximising floor space in a room having a small head section – generally high up on the wall and out of the way, with the larger unit located outside and out of the way.

  2. The systems come in either a cooling or combined heating/cooling unit, so this can be the complete heating and cooling solution for some homes.

  3. Larger systems can support multiple head units in different rooms, providing variable control. A cost effective option where you only heat or cool the rooms you are using.

  4. Having the compressor unit outside means the inside head unit can be almost extremely quiet and uninstrusive.

  5. Split systems are available in a wide range of sizes for a wide range of environments – from small residential systems all the way up to large commercial use units.

  6. With a large selection of systems available, we recommend a system which meet strict environmental and safety standards.

With a large range of options available with Split Systems, we can help to assess your individual requirements and recommend a system best suited to your home.
